Ander featured on 20 Jazz Funk Greats!
“Ander’s Minor Clusters makes me think of these things. Its languid guitar reverberating with the twang of fin de siècle Westerns; the late afternoon of eras felt with every looped beat. A beam of yellowing light hitting the once deserted streets of timeless ghost towns; the creak of a wooden door.”

ANDER “Minor Clusters” (download via soundcloud)
On Friday I finally finished the first of 5 or so songs destined for the next Ander EP. “Minor Clusters” started with recording bubble wrap, condensed air and a little bit of guitar. After sending everything through various pedals, kaosspads and plug-ins, I’ve hit on something I’m really excited about. Consider this a preview of new material that will be out before the end of the year and enjoy! Thanks for listening.

Skeletal System on Altered Zones!
“It’s strange to think of something arriving, without warning, quite as perfectly formed as this. No label involvement, no svengali. A 5-track EP sitting there, for the world to download, perfectly judged artwork and all.”
Andy Peterson, half of San Francisco’s duo Skeletal System sent me a nice email with a link to their free 5-song EP on Bandcamp. Been listening to it the whole way through this morning, and it’s great. Slow but rich, muted but textured, dark but dreamy electro with hints of New Order and Galaxie 500. Dig it.
Thanks yvynyl!
