Ten days ago something happened. I’m not exactly sure what, how or why, but 2 of my friends in Chicago recorded some inspired, improvisational noise. Think Throbbing Gristle. Unfortunately they only sent me 2 short snippets of sound, so here is “Jazz Superheroes” and “Lady” by Rape Whistle.

Back in August I had the opportunity to record the music of a friend I greatly admire. I’ve always liked how personal his songs are, and his natural ability to play with songs forms and instrumentation. “He Better Take Care of You” is from the just released EP of songs from our recording session, which you can grab on bandcamp. If you have a chance I recommend checking out his previous release too. “Stella K” is a definite highlight.
